Awakening

Awakening

Today, let’s talk about “Awakening.”

We have always heard that the people who have awakened are Yogis, are the ones who can read other people’s minds, or are the ones that have become spiritual and are no more a normal human being. We are wrong about all of these. Life always puts us into situations that pull us down the line, that makes us feel low, that makes us distrust our soul. Some people seek help from outside, while some set themselves on an inward path. They rely on themselves, they discover themselves, and thus they awaken!

While setting forth on the path of awakening, you start understanding who you are, and while understanding this, you might go through a lot of mood swings, you might hurt people around you, you might also need a break from the routine that you are following, but in the end, your awakening is going to be like a new beginning of your life, a new chapter altogether. Post this stage, if you are an angry person, you will have all the anger management skills, if you like socialism, you will start socializing more, if you are not able to meet deadlines or be punctual, you will have time management skills too.

Awakening consists of letting you know if you are living your life just like you want or not. If you feel your life & actions are driven by someone else, then this is the time to awaken. You need to have the driving wheel in your hand, and not let someone else drive while you are just sitting behind and going wherever he/she takes you to. If you think its polite to keep saying “Yes” to everyone for everything, then you are absolutely wrong. You will have to learn to say “No.” Saying No isn’t a sin, but it is to stand up for yourself.

Experiences of spiritual awakening, whether gradual or sudden, intentionally induced or spontaneous, typically evoke an ineffable sense of deep inner knowing, understanding, remembering, or unveiling of one’s true nature, as well as experiences of peace & equanimity, bliss, ecstasy & aliveness, feelings of awe, sacredness, gratitude & reverence, and of abundant, unconditional love. To achieve all of this, you will have to jump a lot of hurdles, but if you jumped the first, clarity about yourself will hit you hard, will make you learn a lot of things, and the rest of the hurdles will be crossed with utter ease.

So, to sum up, fit the following equation in your mind:

You experience + You learn + You stand up for yourself + You apply = AWAKENING.
